Quilters always up to the challenge

Once again our quilters step up to the challenge.

In this strange time of Covid 19 we find ourselves facing so many challenges we could not have foreseen. For years now American Hero Quilts has provided quilts to Franciscan Hospice for vets. They are such a wonderful group of warm loving employees and volunteers we are always thrilled to do what we can to support them. They found themselves in a position of not having enough ppe’s for their staff and volunteers. They asked if we could help supply masks. We asked you to help and as usual you came through like gang busters. Your generosity is humbling. We just received a note from Sherry Schultz, from Franciscan . She said, “many, many thanks for sewing and delivering 444 masks and 100 quilts. I believe this is a preview of heaven. In large part because of you, we were able to deliver masks and snacks to our staff in buildings and parking lots all over Pierce, Kitsap and King counties. Thanks for making it possible.”

Thank you so much for once again answering the call. It has been our experience that if we need to have something done ask busy quilters. Thank you for coming through in such a spectacular fashion.

    1. Greetings Kathy. Some folks have gathered together to make quilts and some work alone. You don’t say where you are. Please let me know so I can let you know if there is a group near you.
