Happy Holidays. We are so grateful to all our wonderful service men and women as well as their families. We owe a big thank you to all the wonderful quilters and generous supporters who help us keep American Hero Quilts going. Without your support we could not continue to honor our warriors with quilts, our metaphoric hugs.
It certainly has been a very strange year. There have been periods when we couldn’t ship quilts, particularly overseas. Sometimes quilters and piecers were concerned about mailing or receiving packages. Still, we worked as hard as we could and pushed forward. Things seem to be improving and we are thrilled.
For the last sixteen years the supply of quilts would be so low over the holidays we were concerned. They would pick back up the after the holidays. This year we have more than enough to meet the need. We suspect this is because so many people are staying home and quilting. Thanks to all of you for helping make sure our cupboard is full this year.
We appreciate the loving letters we get from recipients and family. They motivate us to keep going even in troubled times. We hope people will take the time to read the website and the letters. We know we have a back log of pictures of quilts, please know we will get to your quilt. They are all so lovely we enjoy putting up new pictures as often as we are able.
