Here in Washington state, we are experiencing a cold snap. As I wrap up in my quilt, I can’t help but think of all of the thousands of quilts we have made for warriors over the years. Every one imbued with love, thoughts and prayers for their health and wellbeing.
Coming so close to our elections it certainly is a time to reflect on all the warriors who have fought and died to assure our Republic thrives as a democracy. As we come together as one nation one can’t help but reflect on the values we treasure and the warriors who work to protect our nation and feel such gratitude.
Thank you to our service men and women as well as their families for the many sacrifices to protect our nation. Thank you also to all the quilters who work so hard to assure that we let our brave warriors know that we think of them, appreciate their service and send them a metaphoric hug.
